HEARING CONSERVATION PROGRAM

The Doctors Center Health Services’ comprehensive hearing conservation program is designed to protect workers exposed to a time weighted average of 85db or greater and to comply with the OSHA code of federal regulations 1910.95

AUDIOMETRIC TESTING

  • In-depth hearing history questionnaire
  • Documented equipment calibration reports
  • Continuous monitoring of test room noise levels
  • Otoscopic evaluation of the ear canal
  • Four to five employees at a time tested in sound insulated booth
  • Testing conducted by CAOHC-certified technicians

AUDIOLOGIST SERVICES

  • Review and recommendation of all audiograms
  • Licensed audiologist available for professional support
  • Year round support
EMPLOYEE EDUCATION/TRAINING
  • Video presentation on fundamentals of hearing conservation
  • Hands-on training of hearing protection devices
  • Question and answer session to ensure employee knowledge

DOCUMENTATION

  • Employee evaluation letter
  • Individual hearing test reports
  • Standard Threshold Shift (STS) reports
