About Kristen DeMaggio, APRN, FNP-C

Kristen DeMaggio, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a Nurse Practitioner at The Doctors Center. Her passion for healthcare was sparked by the inspiring women in her family, including her mother, two aunts, and three sisters, all of whom are accomplished nurses. Growing up, Kristen was particularly inspired by her Aunt Pam, a travel nurse who worked in Alaska and demonstrated how pursuing a passion can lead to incredible adventures.

Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State University in 2009 and spent several years as a travel nurse across the U.S. She also served as a scuba instructor and medic on marine science research expeditions. These experiences shaped her worldview and enriched her approach to healthcare, which is rooted in understanding diverse cultures and lifestyles.

In her practice, Kristen values building strong, meaningful relationships with her patients based on collaboration and openness. She prioritizes patient-centered care that focuses on individual needs rather than solely on illness, aligning with the nursing model of care.

A Jacksonville native, Kristen grew up playing Little League at West Duval and graduated from Paxon School for Advanced Studies. After years of traveling, she is excited to be back in her hometown, practicing at The Doctors Center. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on the Jaguars with her family and paddleboarding in Jacksonville's scenic waterways.
